S13 A/C problem

i currently have an SR20DET in my car and had a/c lines made to run the a/c system using the SR compressor. we made sure the compressor is getting signal. the a/c light on the dash switch comes on too but the compressor clutch won't lock. any ideas why?

If the compressor is getting 12 volts when you turn it on but it is not coming on you have a bad compressor clutch.
