Is this possible? Has any one done this? At my work I get to do this transmission swap in a 95 240sx se. When looking at the transmission provided i noticed that it was from an earlier 240 like a 92 or 93 if i remember right. I know there is a sensor on top of the 95 transmission that the Other one doesn't have. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to make the earlier five speed work or if this guy just needs to get a transmission to fit his year 240. thank you

I'm almost done doing mine and yes it will work...you have to get an S14 speed sensor though.

Other than that I just left the other sensors disconnected.

You will get a CEL.

You need an S14 speed sensor. You need to jumper the top connector near the fuse box in the engine bay. If you want reverse lights you'll need to get pins 3 and 8 on the one with like 8 wires coming from it by the fuse box.

You need to shim the clutch pedal away from the firewall to keep it from hitting the floor. I tack welded big nuts to the end of the pedal and drilled out the studs and put in longer ones to have them clear the master cylinder.

You need a 1995 manual driveshaft...can't have any other year. (which I have if you want)

any other questions just ask. I just got everything finished friday and she runs great!
