Ok, so I have all the parts needed for for a 5-speed swap on my 92' hatch. I am totally stumped on one issue though, and the information seemed inconclusive.

All the other parts are from an S13, including the driveshaft.
I picked up an S14 transmission (driveshaft not included) for a great deal, and it only has 70k. I know about the crank angle sensor thing...

So two issues would be...
1. Will the S13 driveshaft work with an S14 transmission?
2. Is it possible to splice into the speed sensor and reuse the wiring from my S13 auto transmission?

My shop guy is stumped, I looked everywhere and its really freaking confusing, so some reliable information would definitely help.

Speed sensor is a direct plug and play, no need to splice.

I think the transmissions should be the same, but you do need the 5 speed driveshaft!

The driveshaft I bought is a 5-speed, so I'm covered there... Its in horrible shape though, but it'll be good enough

Just discovered the transmission is actually from an S13, so problem averted.
