S13 5 Speed into S14 Auto?

I searched and found nothing, then the search started messing up,

anyways, what would I need to do to put a 5 speed from an S13 into an auto S14? The reason I ask is because I can only find Auto S14's out here, and have a smashed S13 in my backyard with a good drivetrain, so is it easily enough possible? And does someone have a writeup on how to do it?

yes its possible. the trannys themselves are basically the same. I went from a 5spd s14 to an automatic s13. here are some of the issues you're gonna run into:-the clutch lines are a bit different. I was able to use the s14 lines without too much issue on my s13. -the way the clutch master bolts up is different. I had to cut the spacers off of the s14 master cuz they are built into the firewall on the s13. - The transmission mount/bracket is a little different. I'm not sure if it was different between the auto and manual or different between the s13 and s14. - The speedsensor is different, the s14 will read half of what the actual speed is on an s13. -the drive shaft is different

all of these issues can be fixed by some ingenuity (ie the clutch line) and/or using the other generation parts (ie the driveshaft) other than issues like that, just follow any auto to 5spd walk through....good luck

Is there any way to correct the speed sensor issue? I have a S13 5 spd sitting in the garage, waiting for my next stage build and would like to know how to correct the issue prior to installing. Also, isn't there an issue with the crank position sensor, normally located on top of the S14 bellhousing? That should be able to be reconciled with a bellhousing swap or is there some other way? I'm in the same boat.

yeah I'd like to know about this speed sensor too, and a s14 driveshaft will work in this situation?
