s13 4 lug => 5 lug

Well i was wondering how hard/ time consuming/ expensive would it be to switch from the stock 4 lug setup to a 5 lug setup. The reason being, most of the wheels i'm looking at are in the 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Should it be done, or is it just a waste?Chris

I haven't done it, but it looks like a very expensive and time consuming swap. You can get adapters for the front that just bolt on, but they're might expensive (~400 for a set).

If you really want a specific wheel and it's only available in 5 lug, I say go for the swap. Otherwise, don't bother.

I've seen these kits, all jdm company's, but they seem to only sell front kits, how would you go about changing the rear 4 to 5 lug?

with the rear you can just use 300zx rear hubs (not the whole suspension just the hubs, they bolt on)

The front hubs I've heard about are from Attain. I believe http://www.jspec.com can get them.

Anybody ever drilled the stock 4 lug hub to fit 5 lug? Would it decrease the strength of the hub too much? Possibly weld some material on/in the old holes to stengthen? I'm not an engineer so I don't know if this is feasible or not, so don't laugh if it seems completely outrageous...

I seen the bolt on adapters on Ebay. Wouldn't they act like a spacer and push your wheel out some?
