ok niconians ive been searching my a** off trying to search for tires that will work for me. i just picked up a set of 350z base 17" rims (17x7.5 +33 in the front 17x8 +30 in the rear) the stock tires are 225/50/17 front and 235/50/17 rear. i put them on my car cuz i was excited when i got them (the tires are shot)they rub all over when turning, i have a decent drop probably 2- 2 1/2 inches and i do like ti slam it once in awhile.
now to the tech
i had s14 se rims on before and i found that the inside front wheel well left a huge gouge in the center of the tire had no issues other than that. they were a 205/55/16 which brings the height up to 24.87 inches tall the stock 195/60/15 comes in at 24 inches flat at first i was looking to get a 225/45/17 in the front (24.97") and 235/45/17 in the rear(25.32) with good year eagle gt im affraid that these will also rub so i looked into a 40 aspect ratio tire. i saw a picture of a red coupe running a 215 40 17 and imo it looked way to small. so my question is after this novel i wrote is has anyone had any experiance with these sizes up front? any rubbing? im using the car for auto x and daily driving. in my class your allowed up to a 245 wide tire which also got me thinking could i fit a 235/40/17 up front with a 245/40/17 in the rear that would bring my total height to 24.4 up front and 24.71" out back
any advice would help me out im looking for some people with personal experiance i dont care about stretching or about balloony tires i actually like a lil meat under the fenders. i just want no rubbing and as much tire as im allowed for my class
now some pics

stupid mac wont copy from photobucket ill get pics up tomorrow :ohno:

Awww, man! I been slacking. Usually would have seen this thread and answered days before. Here's a setup I found on Rimtuck:
http://www.rimtuck.com/setup.php?id=72

But I would actually rather go with 215/40/17 fronts and 235/40/17 rears to keep the over rolling diameter closer to stock. But thats just me. Those 45 profiles are too tall, IMO. Speedo's gonna be a little off...
