I have a 92 nissan 240sx. About a week ago i went, and did some auto crossing. Afterwards i notice once i turn my car off, and take out my key the radio stays on..i checked all the radio wiring. Under the steering column nothing. When it happen i would just disconnect my battery eveytime i would get where i go. Then for about 3 days i just left the battery terminals on, and disconnect the radio..till today i realize my battery is completely dead..I can't find the problem an ideas. i was told it has to be something staying on putting out 12amp that's draining my battery.

aftermarket radio? so to get this right, even when the radio is disconnected your car still died? so its not a radio problem? possibly alternator at this point? does it start up fine all the time? also when you disconnected the radio were you sure that no wires were touching each other?

yes even when i disconnect the radio, and leave the battery cables connected it will drain the battery. I tested the alternator and everything came back good. no wires are touching by the radio or anything. It just sucks always having to disconnect the battery everytime i go out. We tried testing fuses with one of them wire testers, and what ever it is blew the fuse on the tester. So now i need something with like 20amps or hirer.

Something is shorting your battery power to ground. Connect your battery back up, turn car off, find a multimeter/voltmeter and start checking all fuses to see which ones are getting power with the car off. You migh have to make take some notes and use a wiring diagram to make things easier.
Ps. like ssturges18 mentioned the alt is a good posibility, I had go out one time and it really created a lot of electrical crazy stuff....

yeah me, and my cousin used a voltmeter, and whatever is staying on blew the fuse in his meter so it has to be something putting out a lot of amps. Also my brake light stays on(and it has fluid) and my battery light is somewhat on n off.
