Yes, I have used the search button, but it seems like everyone is asking about the S14. WHAT ABOUT THE S13!?!?!?!? Well, anyways, I did a burnout today, and I left 2 tire marks. I didn't even drop the clutch at really high rpm, I just launched normally, then stepped on the brake with my left foot and kept on the gas.... and yay, 2 skid marks, but I remember reading someone say that even those without LSD swear they r leaving 2 skidmarks. WTF IS GOING ON!? Spank you very much

try dumping the clutch at high rpms and not stepping on the brake and just let ur car go forward as you burn out. if you leave 2 tire marks then, you most likely have an lsd.

the best way is to look for the sticker on the 'punkin' or just jack up the rear of the car, if one wheel turns one way and the other the other way you don't if they both turn the same way then you've got LSD : )

If your car is on a rack or in the air at all. you can simply turn one of the wheels. If the wheels you did not turn by hand also move then you have an lsd. If the wheel you moved is the only one to move. you have an open diff.
My question if anybody knows all this. All of what LSD swaps will fit into an s13 with oout having to get other axles and such. Like a list... J30, stock s13, 300zx non turbo???????? does anybody know which ones will fit to make junk yard and purchasing easier??

That is not true, so please go and reread my post : ) if one wheel turns the SAME way then you do, if it turns the other way no lsd : (, and as far as fitting LSD's in your 240 go to http://www.240sx.org/links/installs/lsd2/index.htm to find the install and the years that fit and the mods they take : )

serious...... i never seen a 240 with an open diff that wehn on a rack or in the air, that both wheels actually spin. At least on mine and the others i have played with; only the wheel that you turn moves, not any motion at all from the other wheel. This is on about 4 local s13's. maybe they changed the open diff on the s14's. I know my old galant did not have a lsd in the rear and when you turned a wheel the other wheel would go in the oposite direction, but not the s13's.?>?>?>?

yes, I know, it is very odd, but I have a base 93 fastback and when I burnout, both wheels spin. The car was totally stock when I got it. I'm pretty sure the girl that had it before me didn't swap LSDs:pface I guess I have one helluva open differential

yeah, you can have an open diff and spin both. Especially if you have very little weight over the rear. On a rack though Only one tire even budges when pushed by hand.
