hey everyone I recently did a simple amazon keyless entry install on my girlfriends 93 240sx coupe the other day and a few people were asking me to do a writeup so here it is. ill get straight to the point
This was installed on a 1993 240sx coupe with power locks and windows.
tools needed:
-10mm socket and ratchet + extension
-flathead and phillips screwdrivers
-soldering gun and solder
-heat shrink tube
-keyless entry system

So first you need to access the oem door lock timer box which is located on the passenger footwell behind the ecu. on RHD cars it may be on the drivers footwell but im not sure.
Then you will be able to remove the ecu holder held by two 10mm bolts and the door timer can be found here and is held by a single 10mm
then comes the wiring part, first you need to pop the cover off the door timer with a flathead or in my case a kitchen knife and then the board and connector slides out. you can then de solder the connector off the board and use it to wire the new keyless entry box into the oem connector.
here is a little diagram i made for people who like to visualize the wiring. its pretty straight-forward.
after all that is wired and soldered to the old door timer connector you can clean it up then use heatshrink and voila! you now have a door timer box you can plug into the oem harness that now has keyless entry without cutting any oem wiring from the car. it should look something like this.
to finish just install the box back in and put ecu back etc and you are done!
OPTIONAL: to have the lights flash which i havent gotten around to yet you just need to wire the brown wire to the parking lights which can be accesed by the dimmer switch i believe. i havent gotten around to doing that yet.
hope this helps some of you wanting a cheap way to be lazy and not use the key, or in my case to have a way to unlock the car when the lock cylinder is broken.
Special thanks to my friends micheal and micheal for helping me use their car for idea on how to do it
