Wow I'm sure the EPA would have a hay day at that garage. Anyways Freeze 12 is basically r-134a(80% r-134a and 20%142b). Don't try to retrofit and refill your system yourself because all moisture and non-condensables(air) need to be removed first. If you are on a tight budget then I suggest rolling down your windows because you will have to take it to the shop to find the leak since you said it was empty.

^ but thats mostly if the system has been open for any amount of time. the dessicant in the drier will get saturated, but not right away. you have almost an hour of working time before you start adding too much moisture. on a system thats been open for too long though ie; several days, thats an unacceptable amount of moisture and the system wont work no matter how well it gets serviced. i too though, recommend rolling down those windows and have some 260 a/c if you dont know what youre doing.

I was just thinking that if he had a leak than when he ran the compressor it may have drawn air in.

with a leak though, the low pressure should be tripped and not allowing the clutch to engage...

i think I am going to give temp sensor a shot tommorow, I just tried it again tonight when it's cold: damn the AC is cold as well and it doesn't stall like it does during the day time when it's hot

so what does this temp sensor look like? I can't seem to find it behind the glove compartment, anyone got a pic or part number?
