s13 240 wont start

motor is a single cam well i bought the car a week ago and its been one thing after another we put a new alternator in it cause it was bad has a brand new battery and terminals but car still wont always start right up for some reason if i redo the terminal sometime it will make it start iv jumped the starter with a screw drive and it spins with no problem but seems like it doesn't always get power to it even with jump it still wouldnt even try to start the car but then sometime it starts right up no problems kinda stumped here any one got any ideas already check the button on the side of the clutch even when pushed it makes no difference

A little hard to understand the way you worded that, but it sounds like you are intermitently not get power in the signal wire to the starter. Does it not even click when this is happening?

sorry wasnt sure the best way to describe the power but yes it does not even click but then other time it fires right up with no problems

its your starter solenoid your not geting any power after it and if you jump it it will start so it should be it
