the only thing that I couldnt check for sure is the wiring. I didnt do the wiring but I dont have wiring diagram to look what part the wires are supposed to go to from the coil to the harness. help please... my car got stolen and I need to get my friends car running right so I can borrow it. thanks in advance.

did you try switching one of the coils. I know you said you checked the coil. It sounds like it is a wiring problem to me.

I had a similar problem recently, Check continuity between the plug that goes out of the ignitor to the plug that goes to the coil pack sub harness. You should be able to just match up the wire colors.

I switched the coils and the plugs to check and see if it was either one of those but they worked on number 3. so just use a multimeter ? what am I looking for. your talking about the the third wire that comes out of the coil? not the ground or the one that all of the coils connect to but the one that has its own 2 wires from the harness? anyoen have a pics of theres? if you could just follow the three wires from number 4 to where they go and what wires they connect to or better yet where the wires go from the harness to the coils. thanks. I think its a 6pin connector.

another thing that could be causing this problem would be the ecu...just a thought..but this is how you can determine whether or not it is the problem..takes about a minute..turn your key on and look at the back of the ecu for the l.e.d. light...notice it is lit. now start the engine the light should go off...if it does NOT go off then the ecu is the culprit. if it does go off then go ahead and continue to check for codes.
