Hey everyone... I just bought my 3rd Nissan, but my first S13. I've got a slight crack in one of the rear taillights, and I love the 180SX rear light conversion anyway, so why not do it now? Has anyone done this taillight swap? I just want to know what problems I should expect to run into along the way... Thanks for everyone's help!

Well, of course I've HEARD of the lights... I think it's nearly impossible for any 240 owner not to have known about them... Thanks for the link. I've already got a few that are a little cheaper, but that's not what I'm worried about. I'm worried about the install. I've heard in the past that things don't necessarily line up perfectly (example: the hatch lock) and mods need to be made. Anybody done their own?

QuickSilvia, thanks for the welcome. It looks like the link you showed me addresses more of the problems I'm thinking about...

Oh, I may be a newbie now, but I think I'll be around for a loooong time. And to think, all it took for me to get hyped was a little Japanese car company that almost had to file for bankruptcy a few years ago. Well, ever since my little brother and my best friend got their 240's and started tuning them, I can't think of anything else! Sex even seems unfulfilling now... Ok, scratch that last comment... But I love S13's!!

The wiring harness needs to be modified according to clearcorners.com (link).

Cheapest I've seen the complete 180sx kouki tail light kit go is $457.20 at nismoparts.com (http://www.nismoparts.com/cata...#1001).

Or if you don't need the center panel, you can get the lamps for $320 on eBay from this seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...20274

the wiring mod is that you have to splice in the connectors from the two lights

I would love to get those taillights, even though a cracked light is an excuse very few people can justify $500 for a pair of taillights, thats for sure. But if you have the money, i'd go for it!
