I was hoping someone would possibly be able to provide some help/advice/ideas. I went to go start my car one day and it died - all power cut, then I turned the key again and nothing, the turbo timer then started smoking and went on fire. Unsure exactly what caused this and why it seemed to surge power. The main fuse blew when this happened. I have since replaced the main fuse and gone through some of the engine bay tiding up wiring etc. The car is getting power, getting fuel and cranking but doesn’t seem to be sparking. It’s reading that the plugs are getting power. I have since replaced Ecu and still the same issue. I feel like as well when I turned the key beforehand the fans would kick in and this is no longer happening unsure if this is linked. Unsure where to look next and what it could potentially be. If it’s some component that’s gone or if it’s deeper into the wiring or something else. Any help or advice would be much appreciated as car has just been sat for a couple months and causing me stress.
Thanks.

If your coils are getting power but not spark, I would check your grounds or the signal wire. IIRC the coils have constant 12v and the ECU grounds them through the signal wire to make spark. You've said you changed the ECU out so eliminating that (even though its possible you got another bad ECU) I would think the spark circuit is missing a path to ground?
