s12 questions

so i got a friend who has an s12 and his ca20 blew its top on the freeway. From what I've already seen the motor had almost no oil in it so engine failure was inevitable. But my questions are, does th ca18 bolt up to the ca20 transmission and bell housing? and also, do the harness' share similarities enough to make it a simple swap? I understand I need ECU, etc. but the main question is if the ca20 transmission and ca18 motor bolt up. any input would be appreciated. thanks!
