hey guys, i'm back for a few. car should be sold next week, but i just don't have the tools at the house to get under the car right now. jack, stands, etc are all up at my parents other house keeping dad's mustang off the ground. the potential buyer needs to know what brand crank angle sensor is on my motor. i'm not exactly sure why, because i know its a series 1 motor. but he needs me to find out, and not being able to get under the front end is making it difficult. any ideas here? the car has an AEM EMS for S1, and AEM map sensor. he said his tuner needs to know so that he gets the right software. suggestions, ideas? thanks.

the CAS is on the front of the motor right in front of the exhaust cam gear. you don't need get under the car to look at it. if it's a mitsubishi, it will have the 3 diamond logo stamped in the middle of it. i believe the other manufacturer is hitachi. i've never paid attention to the manufacturer of the CAS though

ill look again, but there isn't much room in there. thanks.
is there any correlation with tuning and what manufacturer makes the CAS? i didn't think so, but what do i know?

hey, we're talking CRANK, not CAM, right?

Crank angle sensor is on the end of the exhaust cam, on the top timing cover.

RBs don't have crank angle sensors so there is nothing down by the crank unless you have some custom cam angle sensor to run with a standalone. they run off the cam angle sensor which is what i mentioned.
