s1 coil plug

on the coil it has the markings E/+/- where the 3 pins are.my question is that i have the ground going to the E, white wire to the + and the wire out of the ignitor chip going to the -.this doesn't seem right to me (unless E is earth), and given my clip came with a 300zx ignitor chip, and only two of the wires going into it are correct, i'd like to make sure this is too.

can anyone look at their motor and see if this is right?

i believe the e is for the trigger for the coil.......not sure tho, nothing some tracing cant fix.

thats what i have been thinking... though all 6 of mine have the ground going to E, power to + and the trigger to -

since the ignitor is different i wanted to make sure the harness wasn't changed too. which is why i asked anyone with an s1 if they would look at it.

I just went and looked at my series 1 motor..

E : Black wire, + : White wire, - : red/yellow wire
