Whats up all. I have an 05 350z and its a Enthusiast edition 6-spd. Im thinking of adding components to make it the style of the S-Tune Z. I was reading a couple of things and Noticed that the actual S-Tune has its own set parts. I guess the question is, if I added S-Tune parts (Nismo CAI, Nismo Exhaust, Nismo Suspension, Body Kit, Floor Matts) could I still badge the car and call it an S-Tune? Or is the S-Tune all about just stricktly being made by nissan to come out like that? Any advice would help. Although I am not interested in the Wing from the kit, nor the graphics. Thanks

Nick

I have not actually seen any s-tune badging available except the graphics. Although I suppose the dealer would have them.

In my opinion it would be kind of odd to do all the upgrades to make it an s-tune and then ignore the spoiler, and graphics. But to each his own.

As for naming it an s-tune without it actually being an s-tune. That is rough ground to be sure. You can certainly do it, but it is not going to go over well with the s-tune crowd probably lol. Also you will have to make sure that it is done really cleanly and looks like it is supposed to be there (not terribly hard).

Personal opinion though. Do the s-tune upgrades and just leave it marked as a normal Z. Leave it as a little surprise to everyone else what it really has.

Thank you. Thats what I was thinking of doing. Just adding S Tune Components. Like just the Kit, Intake, Exhaust and maybe a few inside items but nothing flashy. Not a big fan of the graphics or the wing you know? I was always into a cleaner look with the car. I noticed they dont have the kit painted either? Or the ground effects? Is it just Black in color?

I really have no idea. That is something you would have to ask the dealer about.

really i dont think you could get a vin bagde that says nismo unless you get a nismo. Although a rear badge i dont think that will be hard. i think its a bad idea though, id suggest just looking into the best parts for the car in general, going with nismo isnt always going to be the best parts for the price. i think it would be illegal to sell your car claiming it was an s-tune though.

I dont see a problem with doing that!!! Its just stickers and that doesnt mean that you have to try and sell it as an S-Tune either, or even do anything with the VIN. Its just a car and its not gonna kill anyone to run what badges you want on it. IMO the whole NISMO package is nice and Ive only seen like 2 03-06 NISMO Z's around so just having the kit already makes you different. Just my 2 cents!!!

As far as making it look sweet, perform good and throwing some badges/decals on it, there is nothing wrong with that. But don't advertise it as a NISMO -or- s-tune when ever you try to sell it or anything. Call it an enthusiast with nismo/s-tune upgrades. I think there is nothing wrong with what my view of your idea is. I say go for it, and yeah i don't like that huge wing either. I have a nismo decal under the hood of my car and mines not nismo... i don't see the big deal... if i had a nismo i would have done the upgrades i have done anyway, so then it wouldn't be nismo anymore by some peoples terms.... I think mine will smoke the nismo.
