S oem stereo changing it to SL oem stereo.

Hello i currently have S oem stereo and thinking about changing it to SL oem stereo for aux..
I have quesion about installation.
Is the process just simply taking out S oem stereo and put SL oem stereo?
Is there any more wires that I need to hook up to SL oem stereo?

I am putting SL stereo bc of the look. I just wanted to keep the look as close as possible.
However, do you guys have any recommendation for after market stereo that will look close to what i have right now?
Such as like not sticking out at the edge and etc!

Check out any of the double din units on crutchfield.com. for the $600 it takes to upgrade to the sl stereo (which only really gives you the cd changer, preamps, and bluetooth, you could have nav, dvd, bluetooth, pandora, and more.

600? i have found them for as little as 150 USD. what else besides the head unit would I need for it to work? Does it plug and play?

Brand new from the dealer they go for $600. I've always been a fan of aftermarket gear over stock systems (even if it is an upgraded package). If you get the SL unit, I believe it is plug and play. For an aftermarket head unit, you'll need a wire harness and an antenna adapter. Plus you'll have to crimp or solder the connections between the aftermarket headunit's wiring harness and the adapter that plugs into the stock harness. It sounds like a lot, but it is actually very simple. Aftermarket allows you more room for expandability also (subwoofer, amps). If your not looking for that then I'd go with the SL headunit. I just say one used on ebay for $115.
