S.O.S. Engine Problems HELP!

Ive been having problems with my engine for awhile now but lately its been getting worse. The idle is extreemly rough causing the car to shake every few seconds and there is hesitation when i put it in gear. It mis-fires and trips my knock sensor as well... I notice that the small tube the goes from the EGR valve to the EGR-Bypass valve was busted so i replaced it but it still acts the same. I suspect that my EGR or AIV system is all gunked up. How do i clean it? Any suggestions?

Check your connection to your maf. Also make sure that all of the other plugs are secure, and connected.

how do you know it's tripping your knock sensor? Is your ECU throwing code 34? That means your knock sensor is bad and it's probably your problem, as it'll cause a timing retard in response to a detected "knock", and if your knock sensor is toast, it'll send false knock signals to the ecu.
