I was at my buddie's house today as he was eating breakfast (at 10 AM. ) when I noticed that he pours his milk first then the cereal. We had a long debate over what the S.O.P. of which comes first, the cereal or the milk. I said the cereal then the milk. While he said the milk then the cereal. Which is it? Pouring the cereal before the milk is like putting ice in a cup before the liquid. You wouldn't pour the soda, then drop in the ice. It'd get everywhere. Only real Americans put the cereal then the milk. What's your take on this?

I always put my milk in first, then the cereal. And I always pour my soda/liqour/water or whatever first, then a ice cube.

It's just the way I am.

You are right on target Sircnay. Cereal FIRST then milk. It is the American way.

It has been a long time since I have eaten Cereal at breakfast. My breakfast routine consists of getting to work late, plugging in my laptop to the LAN, walking to the Convienence Store and buying Mt Dew Live Wire and Hostess Chocolate Donut Gems. Ahhhhh.

Wow, doesn't that sound good... and healthy too!

I love my cereal. I have a bowl of rice krispies or cheerios with whole milk every morning (as long as I don't sleep through my alarms). Sometimes I'll treat myself to some frosted mini wheats or lucky charms It's definatly cereal, then milk. Same with the ice

You my friend are not american. You probably waste gallons of soda/liquor/water/milk every year due to spillage. I just can't believe you man.

Cereal first, then milk! As you are pouring, the milk soaks the cereal in dairy goodness. Otherwise you risk putting too much milk and having the cereal float on top.

Seems like Milk before cereal would make it harder to judge just how much cereal to put in. Although I will pour soda and forget the ice then remember to put it in.

dude. i can't eat cereal anymore--at least not frosted mini-wheats. Twice i had poured myself a bowl of mini-wheats and then the milk, took a bite, then ran to the bathroom to regurgitate it all because the milk was bad. I have a horrible sense of smell and the both times it had happened it was coming home after a vacation because my little brother wasn't home to finish the milk in 3 days like he usually does.

Ugh, I've fallen victim to bad milk more than once. I usually take a little break from everything involving milk for like a month after that happens. It takes time to recover from such a horrible experience

that's what they say to do if you are trying to train yourself to not eat something--throw it up. Next time you encounter that food item your mind will conjure up memories and you'll be too disgusted to eat it.

cereal first, then milk, it should be a crime to do it the other way around.

see.

http://www.cerealfirst.com

but i guess it might depend on what cereal you eat, for instance if you eat cheerios you could do it in the jerk order (milk first) because they have holes in them and they would probably sink easier than my favorite, cinnamon toast crunch. which brings up 2 interesting questions: what cereal do YOU eat? and, how many of you clicked on that fake link??
