i found 2 good trannys in a junk yard and i am curious if they will work in a s13. the one is a hardbody pickup with the ka24, is it the same as the 240 transmission? also i found an s12 200sx turbo i am curious about the transmission and rear diff in that as well. im mainly interested in the truck transmission but it would be nice to know what the 200sx stuff will work with

If the truck transmission is a two piece then it might work by interchanging the bellhousings. However the gear ratios on the truck transmission are going to be alot closer than the 240's (for towing).

When I get home I'll give you the ratios and transmission code thats in the hardbody.

well i dont see how the bellhousing in a hardbody truck could be any different because it is still using a sohc ka24 block, maybe it would help if i had a pic to look at and do a comparison between the two. if anyone has a transmission i can use just sell it to me so i dont have to go through the BS envolved with junkyards.

its involved, just fyi.But anyway I'm almost certain it would "bolt up" but I think you would also need the hardbody flywheel and a 240mm clutch (300zx na would work, maybe). figure that **** out!also the ca18E transmission I would bet money will not bolt up at all (thought the internals are prolly similar).
