No offense, but wouldn't drifting in a parking lot at a car meet just give Philly PD a solid reason to chase everyone out and end the meets.

I'll definately go one of these weekend but I'm not trying to get arrested or a ticket for spectating.

the quality isnt that good, but its from the last one they had. to my knowledge there want going to be one on 9-8-07 because of the formula d going on. the last one was 9-1-07

I'll definately be dropping in to check it out this weekend but I need to know what time to be there, I don't want to show up and be the only one there because I'm early or too late. I was thinking of coming by around 8:30 or 9pm is that a good time or should I show up earlier?

that was ur friend in that green 240, haha. How bad was his **** messed up? I remember seein a puddle of coolant, puddle of oil, and hearing a lot of yelling. And he looked like a mad mofo slammin his dash lol. So is his engine ok then?

haha yea everything is ok now. he has no electric fan (lol) so everytime he drifts he overheats... somehow part of his ghetto rigged oil return line failed and was letting oil out. and the coolant was from overheating. not sure where it came out of.

basically kyle with the green 240 wanted to try to drive it home leaking all that oil but my boy was telling him its retarded and that hell lose all of his oil before he gets home and hell seize the engine. they always fight like a married couple hahaha so anyway i guess kyle ended up coming to his senses and got a ride home to get his truck and trailer to come get the car

we were all there last night and the cops wouldnt even let the meet happen. i had had my truck with my bike in the back. everyone rolled out but a few of us stayed in the resturant parking lot and then i just left and came back to ocean city (gotta finish my car!)

so does anyone know what the plan is now that 5.0 wont let us meet at ikea???

I was there last night too, (white s13 hatch) I drove around to the back of the building to take a piss when i saw cop cruising in and Juan drove around and told me we had to go.

Hopefully we can still meet there, just better cool it on the drifting/ all those damned hondas that started comin and blasting their sytems and exhausts and ****.

****ing ppl started goin to the other side of the ikea to mess around at like 10:30. Cant have that ****.

Well really, thats not the point of the meet, and about 2 weeks ago someone did give a speech about not to be doing those kinds of things there, which i definitly support. No one is really loud the whole time either, at the end, ppl do donuts and **** on the other side of the parking lot, and the 1 or 2 ppl it is, I dont think even read or post on NICO. I hope we can continue to meet there, because recently they have been growing slightly, and its always cool to chill with fellow enthusiasts. I think the real problem, is that in the last few weeks, too many 's have been showing up and acting like retards.

So....anybody gonna show up there this sat.?

I think we should move the meet to a different location, I was there last week and within 15 minutes of it getting started a line of about 15 Civics rolled through. I don't mind there being a meet with a variety of different makes but as a whole when you get civics showing up it's only a matter time before 5-0 shows up and chases everyone away.

Is there still a meet going on this weekend? I'll show up again if there is would like to talk to a couple more people.

im sure there will be a cop there this weekend as well. we need a new spot. and at the new spot there cant be any tire smoke because that will be the downfall of that spot as well.

maybe a cruise would be more appropriate? we could all hop on 76 or something. that way we can all **** around but atleast it will be a moving target for cops instead of right in a parking lot LOL

I agree, i guess we do need a new spot. Seriously, I have been going to this meet for like 3 months at least every other week and that was the first time I have ever seen a cop come, and preposterously, the last 2 weeks was when i noticed the huge insurgence of the rice brigade, for months everything was cool till they showed up.

Sup guys for those who told know me, I'm Reese the one who help do this crazy idea of a 240sx/drift meet....So i guess everyone has liked the meet so far but unfortunately this meet has to come to end. This Saturday will be that last meet in IKEA. I decide to do that meet because nobody said a 240sx drift meet could work...Well it did and we had fun doing it....i did the whole speech with JDM Will and let everyone know the deal with that location. To be HONEST 99% of the people there were only there to catch a glimpse of some drifting....AND yeah i ain't gonna lie i started it after like 3 weeks into the meet i started drifting in the lot because... heck i just wanted to.. i stopped doing it because i have other important events to go to and i can't risk my car....NOW, all though there was some drifting going on, YOU have to admit it never really got out of hand because i was always in the middle trafficking everyone. In the past 2weeks i have noticed that this meet it growing way better then and my guys can handle so thats why i am shutting it down.

yea dude the meet has been a big success no doubt. and ofcourse all we wanna see is some drift action. and no i never saw it get out of hand at all. its just that cops wont ever let that fly. theres a lot of energy goin right now the for the saturday ikea meet so def keep that energy goin just change the place and get the word out.

btw where did everyone go to when the cop was sittin there last saturday? i just stayed behind till i left for jersey

I want to thank everybody from the bottom of my heart.for coming out to our humble little meet for the past 3 months.i have enjoyed meeting all you crazy "beaches".i really do hope you guys and gals had some fun.and met new people you could share your love for cars.im going to miss screaming at you for not picking up your trash.lol but above all thing and all jokes a side BE SAFE out there.remember there are innocent people walking or driving out in the street.if your interested in drifting i highly recomend going to all the club loose events.you will learn stuff there that the street wont ever teach you.and if your into dragracing go to atco tues,thurs,and fridays its only 15.00 bucks to race.that said i hope to see you on sundays over club lyrics harbison and the blvd.i want to thank Reese,bea,brian,kyle,don,(for putting your cars on the line)june(sorry for setting your supra on fire) ricky,peter,kal,mike.obewoon(were ever the hell you at answer the phone b***h),jdmtrent,speedfreaks,avon,erick(for bringing more rx7's were the hell do you find them),sap(you got the torch),chris(for beign at every single meet)streetoutlawz(for stopping by and beign professional at our meets)danielle(for letting me out the house)juan and friends(for awsome comic relief)ricers (f yah b*tch*s)

Well thanks for posting guys, the idea of the meet was right on! There will always be problems with less intelligent individuals causing trouble but at least people showed up and you had fun! I will swing by some time when I'm in Phili and if I have a car with me. Again, thanks for doing the meets though, initiative is great, I love seeing meets start up!

I'd like to thank everyone who attended as well, If I didnt go to these and meet so many cool people, my car wouldnt be where it is today. I showed up at like the first meet with a bone stock hatch, got advice where to get my sr swap, met people with parts, advice on tuning, was awsome indeed.

I hope we have something going on next year, keep us updated.
