all right...reason i ask because my car running very rough during in the afternoon sunny and hot day. but later at night when i get off from work is nice and cool and its runs like a champ. i don't understand. i don't know if its my tuning from my s-afc or what is it? confused...

the rough ride to work is like choking, bogging, sputter. it won't even let me to shift 5th gear. 45mph on 4th gear all the way. Also, it won't allow me to put down gas to pickup the speed. It will bog out. No sign of smoke.

if anyone came to this point, lmk and maybe can give me advice what causes this problem. thanks.

i just remember that this dude told me to gap my spark plug to .48 and like couple days ago i ask a friend of mine and a local shop they told me is suppose to be .28 and i was like oh sh#t. and they told me that it might cause the car to run rough or sputter and bogging.

so i replace new ngk standard platium which as is already .28 so drop in there and took it for a ride. all my old sparks are like burned out big time.

i kinda notice the car ran smoother than before. and it didn't solve the problem though. I don't know what it is....runs rough in the day, ran like a champ at night.

can someone else tell me what's wrong...? that be great.

Need a little more detail from rough?? is it spitting, spuddering, flooding, hesitating???

Do you have a wideband hooked up?

Did you tune your car on a cooler day?

more than likely you need to re-tune on a warmer day, You are probably getting more fuel than you need when its hot out and when it cools off your producing more power burning all the extra fuel.

yes, my s-afc is tuned and i believe it was on a cold season. once the car is running at a sunny day or hot day it will like spuddering when i put down on gas pedal and barely shift the 5th gear.

no, i don't have a wideband yet, but soon though.

i told a buddy of mine that is it true that once the season changes i have to change the setting on the s-afc...and he said it shouldn't matter because i was running stock boost.

i don't know, because most people said that when the season change you have to change the setting on the s-afc.

what's true or not???

Truth is the SAFC isnt a very good tuner. But on a budgit it works, Yes you will more than likely have to re-tune during a season unless you can get a good middle tune. Some engines are more sensitive on tuning than others.

I personally have had no luck with NGK plugs, My motor hates them, My suggestion before you go messing with the tune is go to your local parts store and buy a set of A/C delco plugs, they can cross the part # and there about half the price of a NGK. My motor runs 100% better. Try running a colder plug, maybe a number 5 or 6.

alright i'm not sure what kind of delco spark plug do you have and what part number. if you can give me the part number of the plug let me know. i just purchase new ngk few days ago and i just want to make sure before buying another set.

just give the part number of your plug and i'll check it out at local autozone or advance.

probably may have to re-tuned that the case. reply me back...thanks.

Im not sure if your plugs are the same as mine. I am running the RB25det engine. Just take an old plug with you and they can convert it. Remember tho 4 is the coldest and 8 is the hottest. Just tell them you need a colder plug than you running now. Im personally running a number 4 cold plug. I would a 6 or 7 would be alright on your setup.

alright i'll check the plugs. plus i'm heading to my buddy shop and check on any boost leak. supposedly my friend said i do when he took it out for a spin and he saw black smoke and the car choking at the same time. but i'll check it out anyways.
