Has anybody had success getting a GOOD TUNE from an S-AFC or S-AFC II?

I can get either a good cruise, OR a good WOT tune. Doesnt seem to ever work out where I can get the best of both worlds. Just wanted to see what kind of luck you guys were having.

A friend of mine with a KA-T hooked up a MAP sensor and is using that as the TPS input on his AFC and he said it runs like a dream now. Makes a lot of sense if you think about it. Im going to try it on mine sometime soon and post the results. Only difference is, he's running stock injectors and an FMU while I have 370's and no FMU.

I've been running ****ty full boost WOT for months and months.... now I tried some NGK copper 6 range and my boost is STEADY and smooth at 19psi WOT, but.. cruisin feels a little rough. Like you said, its hard to find the best of both worlds. I'm running the MSD 6a box now though and took 15% out across the board on my SAFC and it feels better cruisin as well. Go figure..

weird... i've got a hacked MAF + S-AFC + 370's and my cruise and WOT are both fine. Part throttle modulation is one of the big deals I've had, since it's a necessity for autocross.

Why would you have problems with cruise OR WOT? I haven't tuned a SAFC but I did install one the other day on an Eclipse, read the manuals and played a bit with it. The SAFC has both hi and low fuel maps so you should be able to adjust for cruise and WOT conditions independantly. Part throttle is more complicated since the SAFC does linear extrapolation of the hi and low values and even so AceInhole tuned it.

Not trying to bash or anything. Just curious since I will most probably have to tune the Eclipse's SAFC a bit before going to the dyno, not just know since my friend had his turbo rebuilt and the people screwed up.

Try here Apexi

Look under product documentation but I don't think that the KA is listed. Your best bet is an ecu pinout.

It does have a high and low maps, and does use linear extrapolation but its just that. linear. I wish they would have high-med-low fuel maps. Maybe its something else weird going on in my setup or theres also a possibility its tuned wrong. Im going to sit down and mess with my maps again.

I tried the MAP thing, but ends up I got a bad friggin MAP sensor so I'll find a 2.5bar somewhere and try again
