what are your knock signal readings after warmup when you go to setup the knock signal? it gives a standard value then you set it to two rpm levels (1500 and 3500). im just wondering if im getting the right results and not knocking at idle.

with my last 240 it was around 130, and with this car it is around 140~ at idle (after fans come on about five/six times). not sure if this is normal or if both of my cars were/are f*** up.

Without driving at idle it'd stay at zero or sometimes go up to like 5. While driving normally on the freeway with a few pedal to the medal moments max I'd hit would be like 60-70 but would slowly drop back down to 15-35.

i meant when you are setting it up, not that actual knock reading... just the raw knock data

When I had it on my car, I didn't bother checking lol! Sorry dude, but you should be fine if your motor hasn't blown yet.

Inaccurate, and you are correct.

1 - it's only as accurate as you calibrate it to2- you can't calibrate it that closely due to only have two RPM points

It's a gimmick....don't rely on it as a useful piece of tuning data, because it isn't.

yep this thread is a couple months old, i found out it's completely worthless and inaccurate. don't buy an safc ii because it has a knock sensor... because it really doesn't.
