so, i've done most everything that i can think of to my 240 on my budget. biggest problem: putting z32 front brakes on it and changing nothing else. imma try and put a '94+ q45 master cylinder on it and see if that helps before putting on j30 rear brakes, which are identical to q45 brakes. putting z or j30 rear brakes on it is more than i want to spend. main reason for this is because the q MC is 1" and has a much higher split point than the stock s-14 MC and z32 MC prolly easier to find than a z32 MC. i'll repost after in a few days with results if anyone cares.

works perfect aside from having to bend the stock lines to work. rears get a lot more line pressure, and stopping distance is shortened, didnt measure it tho. so if you got an s-14 with z32 front brakes and cant find a z32 MC, use a Q. i see them in the junkyards all the time. not so much a Z. also if you cant find a Q, use an S13 MC. they have a higher split point than the S14.

The s13 bmc is stiff as a mofo with z32 brakes.

yea, pedal is still kinda stiff, but it stops a lot shorter with giving the rear brakes more pressure with the higher split point of the q MC. the s13 MC has the same split point as the q45 at 569psi. the s14's is at 284 psi. the q45 MC is 1". the s13 MC is 7/8", i think. the s14 auto is 15/16". and the z32 is 1 1/8". i see q's in the cheap junk yards all the time, not so much the z32. i just needed the higher split point and since the MC was the same price s13 or q45, i went with the q since its a little bigger and a few years newer. pedal is still stiff, so i think next time i go, imma get a q45 or j30 brake booster since they are quite a bit bigger. i bet your pedal would benefit from the bigger booste,r if it'll fit.

I just got a re-manned bmc for a z32 and made my pedal a lot easier. My car used to be an auto so the booster is already bigger. I have z32 brakes all the way around though. Been rockin this setup for 3 years now and I love it.
