s 13 injector problems

short and sweet.
-#4injector blew couple weeks ago (fixed now) car was actin all weird shaking, stumbling through accel, excess fuel out the exhaust, backfires, and all that jazz.
-i was driving home from maine last weekend in the rain and the same symptoms happend. ironically when i blew the #4 i was also driving in the rain. And now i think i have another blown injector.
-my question is: is there any way that this torrential downpour of rain is contributing to me blowing injectors or is it simply due to the fact that im pretty sure theyre the orig injectors/old.

btw i dont have the plastic fender inserts i the wheel wells.

Meh,
KAs are quite notorious for injectors crapping out. I highly doubt you have an issue. It's just a coincidence.

This doesn't sit right with me. My engine's 210,000miles old and only one injector has been replaced during that time. I could understand the first injector blowing. But the same injector # blowing after a couple weeks is suspicious.

Did you replace the o-ring with a new one when you fixed it the first time?
Did you test each of the injectors to see if they're spraying / sticking open?

^^^ The o-rings is the " notorious " problem with the injectors IMO. Ive personally never had a problem with it but ive read so many threads where o-rings have fixed numerous problems fuel related.

I''ve replaced my #1 injector 4 times in the past two or three years. I've checked grounds and harness plugs. I haven't gotten a good explanation either. Why is it always the same one?

KA injectors are a high failure item, as well as o-rings... and the new parts store injectors suck OEM or bust unless upgrading.
