Do either of you have a detail pic of how you mounted your hall sensor for the SDS? It can't be too tough, but seeing how you've don't it may save me some time.... Thanks

Maybe. I know I have one, but it's on my computer. Which ate itself. Literally. The only thing that survived are my hard drives and the audio and video cards. Anyway, I think I've got one on My Gallery. BRB...

It was made out of 2 separate peices of aluminum. One was just a flat, rectangular shaped peice. It had 4 holes in it. 2 were for bolts to go through into the threaded part of the block where the A/C bracket was supposed to mount. (you can't see them in the picture) The other 2 you can see, they are holding the second peice to the first piece. The second peice of aluminum was kind of like a long cube. It had 2 large, taped openings in it, that allowed it to be bolted to the flat plate. the other 2 openings are threads for the Hall sensor bolts. Sorry for the crappy pic, it's the best one I've got, and w/o my computer at home, I can't get you better ones.

This is a plain view of the engine without a crank pulley, but oil pump and timing belt installed.

Here is a picture of my fully built engine with hall sensor and bracket installed. As you can see the bracket and hall sensor sits opposite of Ryan's, but both are very functional. Hope our pics help you with designing your sensor's bracket. I chose this side because it kinda puts the hall sensor's wires out of harms way.

If you look at them real good and look at your own CA18DET, you'll see what I'm talking about. Th exhaust manifold, P.S. belts, and also the fact that the hall sensor wires is farther away from the main body of wires as well as being farther away from the hol in the fire wall where it must go through to connect to the computer. But if you set it up correctly and secure the wires from things that can cause it harmm it should work just fine like Ryan's does.

Mine runs up under the engine, between the crank pully and right up against the oil pan. It then runs up behind the alternator and into the rest of the intake manifold harness. You've got to make sure you get it decently tight so it won't come loose and rub on the crank pully.
