rx7 with an ls1,rb or 2jz

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Less bad grammar and more patience...I'm sure we'll get you the info you need. I really doubt you needed the answer in 30 minutes unless you have a lot of money burning a hole in your wallet.

I would have to say that the LS1 could be done cheaper IF you find a good deal on an iron block 5.3 and go that route. Otherwise, there is no clear cut answer. There are too many variables, such as what kind of deals you can find, do you plan on leaving it stock, what kind of transmission do you want, etc. , etc.

No, I do not know where to find a 2JZ kit for the FC (I'm assuming that's what you're asking). There are a couple made for the LSx series into FCs, but have not seen a kit for the 2J. I seriously doubt it will be very hard to do youself as it supposed to be almost a direct bolt-in for the Nissan S chassis.

I would say LS1 is your cheapest bet. RB and 2JZ still fetch around 3k then you need all the supporting mods and tuning to go with them and lots of custom fabrication, I'd figure at least another 3k. For 2-2.5k you can get a LS1, trans, and wiring . 350hp reliable n/a power with a few bolts on and a tune 400hp easily.

yeah thats what i am steering towards. i had an base rx7 for ls1 project, then ran across the 2jz. since not swap kits are availible for the fc i had sold it and bought an s13. after hard reserch i have found out that the 2jz is very expensive just to get a stock engine running. so i am going with the ls1 stock engine. cheaper and better bang for my buck.
