so i was cruising along the local strip last night, when i see a 90-93 300xz twin turbo with exhaust. so im thinking, good for him, nice car-then i see the "gtr" badge and he lost all my respect, what is with people and gtr badges, they dont drive a skyline, mustangs never came as a gt type r, why? then i see a rx7 with a full kit. so hot. i told him he needs to put the "gtr" 3z back in its place, but he was a puto and wouldnt. oh well-the se7en was still hot.

That's any motor. The big thing with the Fds is that restrictive exhuast manifold and kinky twin turbo set, exhxuast temps go through the roof. Rotaries are great once you learn what they like.

Good point TMS. Some people were meant to talk about cars, and others are meant to drive them.

BTW: anybody else notice that the Grand Prix of Monaco was used as the Cote d'Azur in GT3.

It is absolutely amazing to see the real footage of real cars going very VERY fast on the track. Especially the cameras mounted on the cars... yikes!! Amazing stuff, for sure.

I believe they said the fastest average lap speed was just above 100mph! YIKES!!

i love that game! Cote d'Azur is a fun track, you just have to like the technical stuff i guess. Actualy, i hate that track with every car but my silvia (~280hp and perfect tuning). :D

Cote d'Azur rocks...except for that crazy kink in the road as you descend to the waterfront. I swear, I had to run that course over 30 times just to get the turn down correctly.

*VROOM* *squeal* *SMASH*

"#$&@!"

And I agree, the best times I've turned in for that course were all in a lightly modded 180SX. Can't wait till GT4 comes out...maybe they'll pull an Auto Modellista and include the KA-powered 240 as well, just for scheisse and giggles.

as long as you keep up with proper maintinence, and dont do stupid **** with your rotary, it'll keep going til about 90k when the apex seals die, then you replace them with ceramic, and keep rollin. :)

Cote D Azur is my favorite track by far! But how in the fug is your fastest time on it with a lightly modded 180?

Because I'm clumsy and do not have opposable thumbs, of course.

No, really, I don't take 1000 hp cars out in GT3...that kind of ruins the fun for me, I try to keep cars as close to stock as possible for "the true driving experience".

I did take my 500+ hp Camaro SS out on Cote d'Azur, for what it's worth, and I still ran a faster time with the 180SX. Bigger isn't always better...

Ppl dont buy RX7s to drive casually, they buy them to drive like there is no tomarrow, thats why I assume lots dont last along time, they put too much abuse on the engine.

Screw that "driving experience" If i want humility I will go out IRL and try to fight GTRs with a GTS-T, that will humble most people. I bring out the R or my F1 car and pummel them other cars, bring a gun to the knife fight I say.

That's bringing an atomic bomb to a knife fight...but whatever spins your bearings. :)
