Well currently I am looking for a oil cooler and all I know is that I can get a inexpensive rx7 oil cooler. I know it is from a second gen but do all 2nd gens come turbo charged? I am trying to buy this from a online salvage yard and I need to know this info. Does anyone know the part number or the engine it comes from?

I also noticed that my friends 94 prelude had a oil cooler on it. Will this oil cooler be sufficient for a ka-t? If so I can get that one for free since his car is screwed up.

Thanks for the help.

You can use any transmission or engine cooler. The rx-7 one is perfect for both.I am looking for one but to use it as a water cooler.

I don't remember if they came on both but they did come on the Turbo II models.

Maybe 1/2 quart more, I will add at least 4.5 quart just to be safe

fill up the oil cooler as much as possible before starting or even priming the car. In the small cavity of the oil filter for example, if it is not pre-filled before install, many of the engines parts may not recieve oil for a full minute. After you fill the car with oil let it warm up sufficiently then shut off and top off the oil and your good to go

Let us know how you make the lines mate to the rx7 cooler, i was looking at one the other day and the inlet/outlet guys look tricky.
