rwd vs fwd

is the front wheel drive ca 18/16 blocks the same as the rwd ca18? can a fwd ca18 be used on a rwd gearbox? anyone ever did this or know anyone that has? i want to build a second engine for my 180sx and i have a front drive block. help needed urgently.

The blocks are the same, but some things will have to be modified or changed to match which ever application you may need. So the bottom line is they are interchangeable.
