Never been done to my knowledge. But with enough money, just about anything can be done. It would probally take extensive mods to be able to mount a tranny, and run a drive shaft.

Pretty sure Sport Compact Car did it (or featured one) some time ago. You'd have to look it up, but I coulda sworn I saw it.

Rumor has it that one of the newer Nissan trucks is going to have a 4wd model that uses a QR25 motor. With this in mind, if it's not a complete fabrication on someone's part, theoretically, a rwd and 4wd Sentra would be possible with some modifications.

Sounds kinds scary though.....heheheh

AWD is doable, as the GTIR motor is AWD all u would need is the back half of the car basicly.. with enough money it could be done

There is a AWD sentra. there's 2 of them actually. The 1500 EX Sunny Saloon come in a AWD platform, and the 1300FE/1500FE Sunny comes in a AWD platform. This is all on the current B15 chassis, so technically, if you could get your hands on the parts, it would be a direct bolt up, except you'd have to replace the engine to a less powerful NEO QG15DE or the NEO QG13DE... however, I'm willing to bet that the SR20DET block and tranny from a Pulsar GTI-R would bolt up to do it, and probaly have to get a few fabricated parts, but it would work.

the chassis is the same, however they still use the body from our B13 style. same thing with our Infinity Q35 and their Skyline V35. Same chassis, slightly different body.

Closest thing to a RWD sentra i can thing of would be a Datsun 210. There close in size and look alike. Plus the sentra was the replacement for the 210

What if they took parts from the 350Z and implanted them into the Sentra. They are abuot the same size.

The truck using the QR25 will only be available with 2wd on the very lowest end model. All other models will be powered by the venerable VQ40DE. I personally welcome the QR to the truck lineup, since it is much more torquey than the KA...although there's nothing wrong with the KA.

Maximas have VQ's. There are rear-drive conversions available for certain Maxima generations, I beleive. I think I remember reading about one somewhere. One interesting fact is that the QR bolts right up to the Maxima's tranny. That means that the Z33 tranny would likely work, too. So, a RWD Sentra is not so far off.
