Hey guys,

In response to the demand of the CA18DET engine and the U.S. suppliers being either too slow at providing them or just providing crap, I need to know who's interested at getting a CA18DET engine. I have a friend that's been in the import engine business for a while and has pretty good rapport with all of his customers and is willing to import the motors as long as they don't sit around and collect dust. Since I'm the only one that ever really requested these motors from him, he saw no need to bring them and raise his over head. However, it has been so obvious that we in the CA commmunity need something more consistent as well as professional. You guys' response determines basically what the prices will be with the amount that's requested, but the prices will be below that of the SR20s. I've purchased 4 AWD CA18DET engines in which 3 I still currently have and one I sold to a happy camper in conneticut (and that engine was used by me with no death rattle per say). He brings good motors and I will be inspecting them before they roll out. So lets see a show of hands and who's will ing to put up a small deposit to secure their motor set. I will take orders and present them to him, however, he deals more in toyota and honda stuff and don't like other motors taking up space in his containers if they are not going to move. What you guys get out of this is an engine inspected by someone who has vast knowledge in whats good and what's bad. As far as price, I know it's going to be better than the average, but I'll rap to him tomorrow.

Hey boost...any idea if he get me a CA18DET FWD clip(what do these go for $ anyways? More or less expensive than RWD clips?) Like maybe out of a U12 (stanza)...they did come with a CA in those right? I might be lookin to get a stanza and put a CA in it, as sort of a beater;) you know in addition to the 240...

He don't bring them in anymore because there isn't a big demand for them, but if he did the product would be just as clean as the one you got.

Okay guys, I rapped with my friend today and he'll ship motors based on the deposits. He wants $500 per motor, so there's your deposit amount. I assure you (at least for now) that the cost of each of your motor-sets will not exceed $1500 with some being without harnesses going for $800. You will not get the motor until I've personally had the honors of compression testing and approving it for shipping. He has a container getting loaded to be shipped in 2 weeks, so let me know who wants to jump in on this. This is something that I'm kinda coordinating as far as the CA18DET's are concerned and he's cutting us a deal with pricing. The motor-sets will be cheap because he will not lose container space for clips, so this means no side mount intercoolers. Gives you all good enough reasons to purchase good FMICs with the extra money you have left over from the purchase of your motors. If any of you wanna do it through paypal, you'll have to cover the 3% charge that paypal charges or you can just email me for my address and you can send a money order. But I do caution you guys, timing is everything. And BTW, if any of you worried about getting played with your loot, I understand. But rest assured, that your money will be forwarded to a legitimate business and you will receive a legitimate motor tested and approved by someone that has legitimate experience with the CA18DET engine. Others in the forums will vouch for my credibility and I am a real person and would like to think that I am pretty honest. I work hard for my money like you guys do and I will not stand for anyone trying yank me for my hard earned bread. So it's you guys' move now. My email address is [email protected] if any of you want my home address and telephone # and also prefer to send a money order. Get "em while I can get 'em cheap because when he says no more, he means it and at the prices we are getting them at, it's the royal hook-up!

Dee is da man. I met him when i went to pick up my CA from his friend (same guy dee?)

Dee is a cool and honest guy, definatly not the type to screw anyone over.

My motor was absolutely clean and runs perfect to this day.

I gotta head over to Miami sometime and see what you think of the motor now, Dee.

Quote »Dee is da man. I met him when i went to pick up my CA from his friend (same guy dee?)[/quote] Actually No! This guy is possibly the biggest importer in south florida and he moves bulk engines like crazy. The thing is, he doesn't buy engines that doesn't produce revenue. Case in point, he purchased a crap load of silver top 20 valves between 1999-2000 and those things sat there as if they had a sign on them that said "Crappy Engine-Stay Away" so he shipped them all off to the caribbean Islands and south america somewhere. As for my relationship with him, if I ask for it I get it because he knows I'm good for producing the money for my requests. There's only 3 engine importers I deal with here two of which I am pretty tight with. I told them the demand for CA18's is there, but you can't jack the price or you'll chase away your customers and they listened. Thanks for the props "Nismo1182" it means a great deal when someone is satisfied with my help in getting them what they need. I'm no god, but I can help you guys source some of your engine needs at competitive prices as well as providing a competent product without the bull-crap that's being shat-out in people's faces. You guys deserve better and as long as you're loving CA18's, I'll be here to help if you need me.

You need just motor no transmission or do you need a motor with transmission? The motorsets will not exceed $1500 with harness and ecu, but I don't think they will be exactly $1500 (I'm sure less). If you need just the motor, this can be arranged!

I was actually waiting on deposits before I went back to pow-wow with him as he is ordering his shipment by the end of the week! I'll see if he can give me a total of everything. I'm expecting in the ballpark of about $1200-$1000 for a complete engine set with ecu, harness, transmission and whatever else they send. I had requested for complete engine sets, but i do know it's quicker and cheaper to just get engine and transmission as well as ECU with a cut harness!

Your engine is going to be $800. If you got paypal, let me know. Depending on their completeness, they'll be from $800-$1300.

So far I have one that's interested and I have to go put the order in today. I'll give the mail time to be delivered and then I'm out. Some of you are missing out on a really great deal that I would not have mentioned otherwise if it wasn't just that "Great". Can't say I didn't try to help!
