I have one tip, if you don't know how to control your car, don't do it around other cars.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy

and yeah you need to learn control in a safe enviroment, scca.com find an autocross in your area and start learning how to control your car

wait tg ur right hand drive!! ok i got some questions for you... i never bothered to learn about right hand drive and i prob. sound like a moron for this but i was wondering...1. is the gas, brake, clutch set up the same for example from your left: clutch brake gas, like left hand drive or is it opposite?2. also is the shifter opposite like is first furthest from you or closest? i dont know if you understand what i mean by that... um... you know how first gear is closest to the driver and up in LH drive is it the same in RH drive or....

1. yup they are all the same configuration gas on the right clutch to the left2. shifter is exactly the same no difference at all

bud of mine had a RHD civic, I just couldn't get past having the shifter in the left hand and a door up against my right side

Having driven extensively in Japan and England I can tell you, the most annoying thing is that everytime you get ready to make a turn, the windshield wipers come on! The turn signal stalk and wiper stalks are reversed. I do pretty well while I'm there, but when I get back home it takes me weeks to get them straight again....

The z32 has the wiper control on a twist knob, so you don't hit it by accident, on the contrary I find myself hitting the wipers in my winter beater quite often while trying to signal. And there's always the awkward period where you're still in transition and you go to the passenger seat of both cars frequently with the intent to drive.

The pedals and shifter are the same, honestly, it only takes about 2 days to get used to driving rhd, but it will take you a few weeks to get smooth with it.

Also, i got dumped on today by like 3" of freak snow and GOD DAMNIT this car is not driveable in the snow. NEVER drive a 300zx in the snow, ever. I got stuck -- like literally had to get out and push kind of stuck -- just by parking on the side of the street in 3" of snow.

opps. I didn't mean to totally delete my original post, but you can read it right below....

Sorry. It was raining at home, and three "hotrod" High School students in crappy Cameros had just done exactly the same thing on my street. Two hit trash cans on the sidewalk, but that they probably did intentionally.

I was a little upset, and never should have posted.

Please to forgive me...

It's raining here. Could you please come "total" a few cars so I can buy a new one???? Just slide your stupid *** around until you hit my Mustang ($25K), and then my Cougar ($10K), and then my wife's Jeep ($15K). If you "assidently" hit my 300ZX, you might get a chance to slid around my .357 too.

I just can't believe that you think you are cool to miss-handle your car. You have no business driving.

Idiot
WOW get defensive often? why would you respond with a death threat?

The how "almost hit a couple cars" things was an exaggeration and a stupid one

Never hit a car and never plan to

I was just trying get advice on how to handle my first RWD platform and i see only evildky had the candor to respond with tact

Didnt mean to envoke the wrath of of the Z's Sorry for the original stupid post but does anyone have advice for a first time RWD Parking lots?anything?

I just gotta say this b/c i know i deserved all the other posts but yours pissed me off for the personal attack

how about this

YOU have what 4 vehicles wow good for you I love how when you put in the hypothetical situation of me hitting your wife's jeep you told me i would owe you "15K" and if I hit your Z you would shoot meI am glad you would shoot someone for scratching your Z but if they hit/harmed your wife they owe you money.

Piece of advice your morals are ****ed up and your wife is ****ing around on you b/c you care to much about your midlife crisis red convertible sports car

P.S. Accidentally is not spelled with to "assidently"

wow.... people get really heated around here over nothing.... i mean it was a pretty stupid comment the whole "i almost hit a few cars" thing but.... slide into my .357.... holy **** man! it was pretty funny but damn...

but seriously tho... hamann... dont slide the streets and as far as a tip if youve been driving a gsr be4 this your going to need to get the hang of handling this big heavy z be4 you want to think about kicking your rear out.... and when you do learn the boundaries of your car a little better take it to a secluded area like maybe a large open parking lot or a track and practice your drifting

Ok guys, lets calm down.

96SoftTop - That was a bit harsh, maybe tone it down a little bit in the future.

Hamann - No need to attack back. If you want to truly learn the abilities of your Z, do NOT do it out in the public, go to a local Auto-X, as that is a good, controllable, legal place to do it.

By the was Freakonaleash that is the sexiest *** shot of a 300 i have ever seen

What color is your car????

OK, look Hamann. I sincerely apologize. As I posted earlier, this situation had just happened through my neighborhood with three crappy Camaros playing “Tokyo Drift” down my street because the road was wet. My daughter’s car was totaled while parked out front in a similar situation 6 months ago.

While my post came across as a personal attack, it was seriously aimed at anyone who drives irresponsibly. Now, it would be hard for me to believe that your sliding around in the rain was an accident, especially since you were having so much fun doing so. If it was unintentional, and you didn’t know to get out of the gas, then, perhaps you do need a bit of training.

In the future and to everyone else as well, I promise not to post such harshly sarcastic comments on this board again. I never threatened anyone, and truth be told, I don’t even know what a .357 is…

I got carried away with my rant and I apologise about that b/c i did the true personal attack and i can see why you would be defensive about the subject of kids being douch bags and i can honestly say i dont do that or mean to, first RWD but i am getting better. I hate those kids that handle their cars like ****. I know you had to say what you said due to you being a father and also having age and wisdom on me and my father is a year older than you and he dirves a mini van so props

Sorry again for the harsh comments i am a 18 and a pre business, pre law, pre poly sci major so a love a good arguement.

Lets just leave t with

Mannnn...On the age thing again... and it's my Birthday too.

Seriously, I'm glad we agree that we both got carried away. Besides, we're here to talk about cars. Thanks for accepting my apology, and congrats on an ambitious degree plan. Good luck to you!
