I'm looking to buy a 1993 Nissan 240SX, 98K mi, ac, ps, cc, tilt, p/windows, stereo, sunroof, 1 owner , no accidents, new brakes. $3000 OBO This is a Ohio car

The car looks great and runs good, but their are holes rusted in the frame just behind the wheel wells on both sides. The body has no rust, but the frame concerns me. The Frame looks great except in these two spots. Is this common on the Nissan 240SX?

I've got them too. A friend of mine had the same holes, except his were bad enough that his car buckled.

The easiest fix is to find 2 new frame rails, cut and weld in. Undercoat is always a good next step. That's what I did - worked great.

rust is always worse than it looks. what you can see does not represent the full extent. unless you like to weld what you need is a professional bodyshop inspection. the owner may not want to know but you do. from your description i doubt its worth $3000.

She actually told me about the rusted frame, and i'm taking it into have it inspected hopefully today. It also on the car says $3000 or best offer. The car is walking distance, away so I will also try and get some pictures of the frame to post. I was mostly just wondering if this is common as the car is clean except these to spots. From the posts I see others have noticed this on theirs as well.

Thanks for the reponses
