Rusty cams

Ok, so I took the motor out and started tearing it down today. The cams are toast as you can see. Pitted rust. My question is, can these be accepted after I clean the rust off as cores? I'm looking at the IPP mild cams at $510, but they charge $400 for cores and I'm wondering if these could be accepted as cores. You're looking at a clean flat section, I haven't cleaned the entire lobe yet.

That would probably be up to the company that is asking for the core itself. If you are dealing with a parts-counter guy I doubt he would care in the least.
