I am going to need to drop the exhuast on my parts Q here in the next few weekends.. However, most of the bolts are very rusted.... I dont think I could remove them without just snapping off the heads.....

Any tips/tricks for dealing with them... Main thing that is an issue to me is the bolts that go from the exhaust manifolds to the exhaust... The rest I can just clip the hangers or something, since theyre probably shot... But assuming the bolts are shot, what has to be done to get them off?

We will post a thread with tons of pictures from this weekend at my lakehouse, where Jesda came up... We will also slowly be adding a LOT of writeups to Q45.org since we removed quite a bit.....

Steering rack bushings: Another job that should be easy made hard, brought to you by the engineers at Infiniti!!!

Liberal and frequent application of PB Blaster....

Otherwise, I'd recommend a hacksaw and some extra metal blades, or an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel, or a Sawzall with some extra metal blades.

The only thing is..... If they're rusted in the holes of the exhaust manifolds that could be really bad..... IE how would I get them out.....

Id be interested to hear how Dennis and the T3 gang (sounds kinda like a band?) get the exhaust off..... They probably get rusty bolts in there...

Exhaust shops take a torch to the bolts. Just heat up the bolts and that will free them from the rust. The bolts come off pretty easily after that.

I know this cuz that's how they removed the old exhaust manifold on my sentra to install the headers.

Yup, start applying PB Blaster day after day or even frequently over a period of a week prior to attempting removal.
