My actuator is pretty rusted, and didnt move freely when I try to open/close the wastegate by hand. Is this normal? Should I clean it up/buy a new one?

you should pressure check it and see what pressure it opens at. it is pretty tough to open them by hand. I believe 7 PSI is normal, but I am not 100% with the RB20. Please correct me if I am crong about that.

How do I pressure test it? Check valve and a compressor set to low psi? I could do it with the hose from the compressor housing, right?

I got a pump, that is for bleeding the brakes, but it also reverses to pump positive pressure...it has a gauge and a bunch of fittings...it was like $40 and it has more than paid for itself just in the ability to bleed brakes and clutches myself

It has directions that tell you how to test wastegate actuators
