What are your opinions on this:Car rusts faster when parked inside or outside (during snow/cold winter).

I heard that a car rusts upto four time faster when parked inside because the salt damages the car.

I know that rust proofing may alleviate this problem , but just want to know.

Thanks

It's true that cars will rust faster when parked in a heated indoor area during times of heavy salt use in winter.

The best way to prevent this (even with rust proofing, which can't cover every area of your car) is to wash your car often during winter and wash it well each time (like under the sides and other areas you might not normally wash that could have been exposed to salt).
