rusting cat from inside out. & broken clutch pedal

does anyone else have a real nasty tingy rattly sound from the bottom of ur 240 that seems like it would be the heat shield?? well, i found out its actully my cat falling apart on the inside. bummer.

oh yea, that was right after i got my clutch pedal linkage bracket piece replaced. i mean common, how the heck does that piece of metal break, jeez. oh yea i have 150k on my 95se.

mine too hasnt been the most reliable ride in the world. Price you gotta pay to own a 240, eh?

OEM cat or muffler shop cats cost a decent amout. so i was like hey check ebay! I ordered a Catco high flow cat for $45 shipped. im waiting for it it arrive.

well...........I always thought 240sx were suppose to be reliable and dependable. At least nothin major has gone wrong(knock on wood) just that and a replacement starter. haha i actully sold my Subaru SVX thinkin its not as reliable in order to get my s14.. damn i miss that subbie

i heard catco cats, you have to put flanges on them. any cats taht are cheap andalready fit on?

the cars can be quite reliable to an extent but a lot aren't. ive noticed on every car my family has owned that the cat is the first thing to go. not sure why but i guess the gasses jsut eat it away, ive gone through 3 on my accord in the past 1yr 1/2

my car is still extremely reliable and it has hit like 170k , though other stuff on the car then the engine has started to deteriorate
