Has anyone else had a problem with the front brakes rusting? They show through the rims and look terrible. Is this also a safety concern? The brakes work fine- no problems there.

The brake rotors are steel, so they will get a little surface rust over time. Our winters are very wet in the South, so mine get a little surface rust just sitting over night. It's very common and most cars will have it happen. It's not a safety concern. The first time you use the brakes driving, the rust will be taken off by the brake pads and everything is back to normal.

Totally normal. It is surface rust and they will do this from just washing it sometimes. My Accord does it also, so does my brother's BMW.

I noticed not only do the front disc rust, but the rear drums are starting to show rust.

I totally agree with V-Man. Every car is going to form rust on them ... my brother's BMW does it too !
