Rusted Gas Tank

ok....my 89 240 has been sitting in a shop for 2 months...ive been waiting and waiting on them to finish the swap...so now that we are finally down to the final stuff... i have a rusted gas tank.... and i have a walbro 255lph going in...this guys telling me i dont wanna do that cause itll mess up the fuel pump... which makes since...so... he says we gotta replace the tank... cant find one anywhere...so i need to know either A. Where to find a new gas tank? cause weve searched and searched with no luck...or B. how to clean this one out? cause im really starting to get pissed... it doesnt take 2 months to do a friggin motor swap... so any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Clean it with acetone....

remove the tank and take it to a radiator shop like radiator hospital and have it cleaned and treated, they will coat it inside and out with this rubbery stuff, we used to have the done at the shop i worked at works great
