rust removal, i need help

i recently just got another 240, i bought of a dude from the net, watever anyway it has some more rust than i thought it would or was told to me, i dont know how bad it is on a scale from 1-10, but i can see the ground when i open the trunk, excuse me when im able to open the trunk. i got the car cheap so im not mad or anything, i just wanted to know how to remove some rust for the small places and fix the big places ( p.s. i searched, couldnt find anything to help)

saws-all and a welder for the big stuff. Small stuff, you can take a sander to it. Repaint with primer and pigment then clear. For the parts that are under the car, paint procedure above and get that rubberizing spray. Just make sure you get that rust off where you find it. I just finished my battle with rust in my battery tray and core support area.

i wouldnt be suprised with the amount of rust to find some on the frame as well. if you're going to try patching the big areas, make sure you get all the rust off then find some sheet metal to weld to fill the spot. sand your welds, fill with bondo, paint, and pat yourself on the back.

as for the smaller areas, sand until you have ALL the rust off, then i would probably use a rust protector, bondo, primer and paint then you're done.
