I'm wanting to buy a 1990 240Sx, good motor, clutch etc. Low Miles. but the body has some rust in a few places how hard is it to get rid of these spots/ or fix them? I want the body to look good before I paint it. Also where do I get the glue stuff for putting back in the 1/4 window in the back. I have the window need the sealant.

Just slide window in and put that around edges? Any techniques with holding in the glass while it dry's?

Uh, you should probably find a local window shop to give you a few tips. You essentially lay a bead in the frame and then press the glass in there. Use specialized tape (NOT box tape or duct tape) to hold it in for 24 hours. Don't slam any doors shut without the windows rolled down during that time. Try using google for a website with a few pics or diagrams for the general idea.

when we stabbed in windshields and quarter glass at work, we prep the surfaces with solvent where the beads of adhesive are to be applied. apply the adhesive evenly and neatly. stab the glass in where its supposed to be, carefully lining up the glass and pressing firmly onto it (good to have a buddy or even better, glass handles with suction cups). i used painters tape to hold the glass to the car temporarily and then using the suction handles or a stack of rags, use heavy duty tie downs to hold the glass. in the case of the quarter glass, appropriate tape would be best, but if you can get a tie strap on the glass more power to you. let it cure overnight for best results in a room temp environment with the car on flat ground and undisturbed.

harbor freight or most specialty tool stores will have window replacement tools in stock. "thetoolwarehouse.com" has a nice selection of tools for lower than retail, but you have to pay shipping. definitely check it out if you're interested.

Hey I work at a glass company that installs glass so I can tell you how to do it if you want. Let me know I can tell you how to do back windows, windshields, doorglasses, anything that's made of glass on the car.

EDIT: BEAT ME TO IT
