So guys I have been looking into getting a 240 for the past year. I just recently came across this one 1.5 hours away from me. The seller fully discloses that the car has strut tower rust and that it will not pass inspection. I looked on courtesy parts for a new strut tower plate to cut weld and replace. However from what I can tell they are no longer produced. Without seeing the car and the rust There are a lot of unknowns. Just wanted some of your opinions. I fear that this is a last ditch effort for the seller to get rid of a car that may not be able to be fixed/ pass inspection. The aftermarket parts, sr20, and coils have me tempted that this may be a donor parts car for a cleaner shell.

car runs and drives great has a rust and rot problem on the strut tower drivers side. needs to have rot cut out and metal welded in other than that car is in excellent shape. modifications are optima red top battery with battery relocated to rear, nismo 555cc injectors, z32 fuel fiulter,godspeed front mount intercooler, walbro 255 fuel pump, greddy intake manifold, megan turbo manifold, megan turbo elbow, greddy downpipe, isis exhaust, s15 ball bearing turbo(2000 miles on it), aem boost gague and air/fuel ratio gague, boosting at 7psi , sr20 blacktop stock 150psi across all 4 cylinders, mishimoto radiator, flex-a-lite dual 12inch fans, circuit sport overflow tank. suspension modifications include apexi n1 coilovers, powered by max suspension arms, skyline vlsd, solid subframe mounts, tein inner and outer tie rods, 18inch 5zeign wheels, 15mm wheel spacers(all suspension arms and coilovers have less than 3000 miles on them and coilovers were never lowered). car audio includes 2x 12inch memphis audio sr subwoofers less than 10 hours on them. car is white with original pinstripping. inspection is good until september 2012. frame is straight, will make a great project car. 2000 dollars firm , please remember this wont pass inspection past september until the rot issue is fixed.
