I find the rust problem is with the damn nerf boards, god I hate those things, but I drive an 00 pathy, so it may be different for the QX'er

I had a little rust on my rear driver's side fender. Strange place for it to rust I thought. Anyway, it was minor and I cut it out, sanded it down to healthy metal, and neutralized it.

Then painted it and it's hardly noticeable. Still bothers me though, so I plan on sourcing some fender flares from an SE model to cover it.

Try this: zer...op-up

I think these cars are no more prone to rust than any other japanese car, but probably MORE rust prone then a european car.

Ironically, our best mileage, 23mpg, came when driving most of the day at 35-40mph in 4H in an ice storm. However, under "normal" conditions, we see anywhere from 12mpg (winter) to 18mpg (summer), but mostly hit 15-16 on average.

Accelerating and high speeds are the PF and Q's worst enemy when it comes to fuel economy. These things are heavy bricks.
