Do you have a picture of the issue you're talking about?

You have to host the photo somewhere else, like a photobucket, imageshack, or flickr type site, and then link in the image...

There is apparently a way to do it in NICO, but i don't really know how...

If you can't do it, I could host the file for you if you want...

I got the rust on the left foot rest. Actually, it's not rust. the aluminum coating is peeling off with bubbles. However, the dealer is reluctant to replace it with warranty because it's the defect from customers. How can he say like that without any clue? Everytime they say it's caused by customer's mistake. If then, when can customers fix their vehicle by warranty?

I doubt he can really make that kind of a statement without at least seeing it. It could be caused by the customer in various ways however such as wearing work boots in your car.

I've attached pictures of it. It started from bubbles and got bigger with peeling off the aluminum coating.

The reason why I mention work boots is that if I was to wear boots with what I used to have on them the foot rest would be destroyed very quickly.

I would take it to another dealer.

I didn't read the full thread title and I though it read: "Rust on left foot"

I guess that takes athlete's foot to a whole 'nother level

I see them now...

You should be covered under your 4 year-60k warranty...if the dealer gives you a hard time, call Infiniti corporate.

I have never seen that before...

Thanks Joe,

I've talked to 'Infiniti Canada' yesterday.Their answer is that it's covered by 4 year warranty as long as it's the defect from manufacturing. If then, who can prove if it's the manufacturing defect or user defect? IT'S DEALER!! NOT CUSTOMERS. They always say it's customer's defect.

Unless you submerged the car...I cant see how it's your fault. Just raise a stink at the dealer and they will help you.

If the dealer is being stubborn, one tactic is to drive where everyone can see you (people buying new cars) and put up your hood. It won't take long for someone to "help" you...

Yeah I've seen these before not on the G but the Saab I had had similar issues. Fricking road salt. They replaced it under warranty for me but that was Saab not Infiniti.
