It should go away after you drive it...but brake cleaner will also work. Just make sure it won't ruin the finish on your rims.

Go out and do a few 60-0 stops.

Take emery cloth to it. Now wipe off with a clean cloth and spray paint it satin clear.

Would this advice apply the center/hub of the rear rotor as well? My fronts are fine, just the rears are rusty in the center.

Could, but it will come back right away. Best thing to do would be to remove your wheel, lay a cloth around the wheel well, clean off the centre of the brake and then give it a shot of high heat black spray paint. Should stop the rust from coming back so quickly and give the brake a nicer finish. Don't worry, if you get the paint on the disc its not a problem, your brake pads will take care of that the next time you stop.

Paint is basically paint for this purpose as long as it is good quality suitable for metal. I would tend to lean towards engine paint.
